Opened 1988 , this NIRULA’S restaurant in South Delhi was another exploration in creating a design vocabulary which was new to the city . The design boldly exploited the double height volume available to its maximum , creating imaginary skylights with lighting hidden behind it , and used traditional outdoor materials like brick tiles , and cane furniture to create the ambience of a barn , while still maintaining the brand image of the chain .
