This property , opened in NOIDA in 1988 was one of the many budget hotels which the practice has designed . It is meant to cater to the budget traveler in an area where industrial buildings were sprouting up, necessitating the need for such hotel rooms . As such, the economics of the project dictated the finishes and the materials used. These challenges were translated into a design vocabulary which was inexpensive yet aesthetic, warm and friendly, using a lot of plants and natural materials to offset the harsh industrial environment in which the site was located . The job threw up its own interesting opportunities for experimenting with new materials and techniques.
