SVC-EPC was commissioned by MDDA to assist in redeveloping a problematic stretch of the Chakrata Street and its adjoining area, into a well-planned city centre.

The project has two broad components:
• Widening and redeveloping the Chakrata street
• Redeveloping the adjoining Nazul land with plaza
and commercial/ residential complexes .

The project would help to improve vehicular traffic flow, provide pedestrian facilities, develop designed commercial areas and resolve the tenure issues in the adjoining Nazul land in a mutually beneficial manner. The project has been structured so as to implement it with the consensus and participation of the people. The redevelopment plan will be presented to various stakeholders with an objective to discuss likely issues and incorporate public suggestion. Presently, the project is in the first phase ‘Schematic planning and design’.
