Sudhir Vohra was the Principal Consultant for a US AID - FIRE D project meant to suggest a new regulatory framework for Building Regulations in the NCT of Delhi in 2006. The results of this Report became the base for the On Line Building permit approval system adopted by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in a process which was initiated in 2009, and continues till 2020. Many of the radical changes now visible in 2020 were thought out then , including a system of procuring Building permits without a human interface , and of storing building regulatory data seamlessly , a tool being used for AI purposes even today.
