Areas of Work

Urban Planning and Redevelopment works are one of the areas of focus which have attracted SVC’s attention during the last decade , beginning 2000 . Most of such work involves working with municipal and planning bodies , while some of it has been financed by non government bodies like RWA’s ( Resident Welfare Associations ) who have become active stakeholder’s in the planning processes of cities , post the JNNURM reforms initiated by the Government of India.

SVC sees this area of work as an exciting new sphere of its practice , and has developed skills for stakeholders’ meetings, presentations to municipal bodies , as well as for research and analyses relevant to such redevelopment processes.
